The temple stands at the center of what we do as families and as a ward. As we prepare for the day when Ridgewood becomes part of a stake with a temple of its own, we're each invited to strengthen our own connection to temple and family history work now.
"I promise that increased time in the temple will bless your life in ways nothing else can."
- President Russell M. Nelson

Our Family History Center is open and staffed for anyone who wants help getting started or picking back up on research.
Leader: Don Levin — 804-514-0291
Hours: Tuesdays, 12–4 p.m. · Wednesdays & Thursdays, 6–9 p.m.
Whether you've never opened FamilySearch or you're deep into a research problem, the center has computers, printers, and volunteers who can help you look up ancestors, find names ready for temple ordinances, or troubleshoot indexing. No experience or appointment needed — just stop by during open hours.
As part of our ward's part in building toward a Ridgewood Stake "on the other side of the veil," we're each asked to record our weekly temple activity on the bulletin board by the bishop's office. It's a small habit that helps our whole ward see, together, how this effort is growing.
You don't have to wait for a center visit to begin:
FamilySearch.org — search records, build your family tree, and find ordinances ready to be done
LDS Tools app — see ordinances ready for your family members right from your phone
If you're new to any of this, come to the Family History Center during open hours and someone will walk you through it in person.
